Adriane Hofmeyr, Founding Partner


Adriane has extensive experience in public interest litigation, including environmental claims against state and federal agencies, and appeals. She is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado and South Africa, and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® 2017-2026 for Administrative/Regulatory Law.  She is on the Board, and is the recent past president, of the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest, a non profit law firm that pursues cases with enduring social, public health, and environmental impacts statewide. Adriane is a former partner at Quarles and Brady, LLP, a former Deputy District Attorney, Fourth Judicial District, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and former In-House Counsel at the Cape Town City Council, Cape Town, South Africa. Adriane is originally from South Africa, where she practiced law at the time that South Africa transformed to a constitutional democracy. This has given her an enduring and acute awareness of the power of law to protect against government overreach.  She has an LL.M in Constitutional Law.

Rui Wang, Litigation Partner


Rui is an experienced litigator with over 20 years of public service in both state and federal jurisdictions. She is admitted to the State Bar of Arizona and has practiced in Superior Court, United States District Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to her extensive courtroom and trial experience, Rui served as Chief of the Criminal Division in the United States Attorney's Office in Tucson from 2022 through 2024. During her tenure, she was selected to represent the Ninth Circuit on the Department of Justice's Criminal Chiefs Working Group. Rui is a naturalized U.S. citizen, which has fueled her commitment to public service and protecting the interests of the community. Prior to obtaining her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, Rui graduated from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) with dual Chemistry and Literature degrees.
